We’re excited to share that KETTLER is planning a new 4,300-capacity music venue in the Gasworx district, operated by Live Nation and opening in 2028.

Inspired by the character and history of Ybor City, the venue will bring more live entertainment to Tampa while supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and contributing to the region’s continued growth.

This is another step forward in building a vibrant, connected community at Gasworx.

This , we’re continuing our tradition of recognizing influential African American builders, engineers, and innovators who have helped shape our industry.

We begin with Howard P. Grant, a true trailblazer: The first African American graduate of UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, the first Black member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the first African American civil engineer to work for the City of San Francisco.

At a time of significant barriers, his achievements expanded opportunity in engineering and beyond. Grant also advocated for improved living conditions and greater career access for Black Americans.

His legacy reminds us that progress doesn't just mean building infrastructure, but also building opportunity.

Throughout American history, Black innovators have played a vital role in building stronger communities, and their impact is still very much felt today. Over the coming weeks, we're excited to highlight Black Americans whose contributions have influenced both our industry and this country's history.

As we reflect this month, we’re reminded that meaningful progress happens when community and care come first. At KETTLER, we remain committed to building inclusive places where everyone has the opportunity to live, grow, and thrive.
