🚨 Texas Telemarketing Law Alert – Effective Sept. 1, 2025 🚨

Texas Senate Bill 140 (SB140), signed by Gov. Greg Abbott, brings major changes to how telemarketing is regulated in our state.

🔑 Key Updates:

Expanded Definition: Telemarketing now covers texts, image/graphic messages, and even inbound calls generated by ads.

Stronger Enforcement: Violations are now part of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA).

Simplified Lawsuits: Consumers no longer have to file complaints or wait before suing—legal action can be taken immediately.

Bigger Penalties: Damages, attorney’s fees, treble damages, and injunctive relief are all on the table.

No “One and Done”: Consumers can sue again and again for repeat violations.

👉 What this means: Businesses must be extremely cautious with calls, texts, and digital solicitations—or risk heavy lawsuits. Consumers now have more power than ever to fight back against unwanted contact.

Selfish morning: "I need this for me."
Stewardship morning: "I need this for everyone I'll serve today."

Every day, you'll influence conversations, make decisions, and impact lives. The question isn't whether you'll have influence—it's whether you'll exercise it from overflow or emptiness.

This isn't about perfect morning routines or hour-long quiet times. It's about intentionally preparing your heart to steward the influence God has entrusted to you.
