As a seasoned real estate professional, Lana Beard understands selling, buying, and renting a home is an exciting but stressful process. Well, to answer that question let’s start with Lana’s background. Lana grew up in a military family which allowed her the
opportunity to live in many exciting places including North Carolina, Florida, Alaska, and New York before settling in Alabama. She began her real estate career in 2013 working as a Realtor for Century 21 Southern Star and a Property Manager for their sister company in Central AL. During this time, Lana was also a full-time student at Troy University where she graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2015. In 2018 she had her dream wedding on the Brooklyn Bridge. Shortly after, Lana and her husband Pat decided to relocate to a larger city in order to grow personally and professionally. After a lot of prayer and research, they chose to make the DMV area home. Lana spent the next year learning the area when she was diagnosed with a very rare disease that caused multiple tumors in her liver. After months of doctor appointments, tests, and a rupture that nearly took her life, on October 13, 2020 she had 70% of her liver removed, giving her a second chance at life. During recovery, Lana excelled as the leasing and marketing manager at a local property management company, which furthered her knowledge and love for everything the DMV has to offer. Now that she has recovered and knows the ins and outs of Northern Virginia, she is excited to jump back into real estate with KW Metro Center. So back to the question, what makes Lana different than every other agent? Honest, reliable, sincere, genuine, knowledgeable, personal yet professional, and a woman of integrity; these are just a few of the words used by Lana’s clients to describe her. As a survivor, she wants to spread the message of love, joy, and hope to everyone she can. When not working, Lana enjoys spending time with her husband and Husky-Lab Mix, Chica. The three of them spend a lot of time camping in the Shenandoah Mountains, kayaking, attending local events, and watching sports (Roll Tide!) Lana loves to try new and exciting foods whether she is creating recipes at home or exploring all of the amazing restaurants the area has to offer.
