🍂 Finishing the year strong starts with the right people, the right mindset, and the right tools.

A wonderful Fall Kickoff with Long & Foster — bringing together Northern Virginia’s leadership, brokers, and top agents for an inspiring look at the market, our company’s strategy, and the resources designed to help us better serve our clients and grow our businesses.

I especially appreciated hearing from Patrick, CEO of Long & Foster, our Regional Manager Athena, Nick, our Principal Broker, Mary Bowen our Arlington Office Broker and our incredible leadership team of Brokers of other Long & Foster Offices in Northern Virginia. The room was packed — a reflection of the talent, collaboration, and commitment within our organization.

We also had an inspiring session focused on mindset, momentum, and making the most of the final third of the year.

🌎✨ A day of culture, connection, and community.

Yesterday’s NVAR International Block Party was one of those special days that reminds you how fortunate you are to be part of something bigger than yourself.

From food and music to traditions and stories from around the world, NVAR created a beautiful celebration of the diversity that makes our community so vibrant. ❤️

For me, it was even more meaningful to reconnect with people I’ve had the privilege of teaching—former pre-licensing students and others from my post-licensing and continuing education classes. Seeing them again and watching their journeys continue is one of the most rewarding parts of being both a Realtor® and an educator.

NVAR has been a true part of my professional family for many years. They support me, I support them, and together we continue to learn, grow, teach, and give back. 🤝

And somehow, the weather cooperated perfectly—the celebration ended just before the rain arrived. ☀️🌧️

🌎✨ A beautiful celebration of cultures, community, and connection!

Yesterday’s NVAR International Block Party was truly special. What began as an afternoon celebrating cultures from around the world—with amazing food, music, traditions, and wonderful people—became another reminder of why NVAR feels like family to me. ❤️

One of the sweetest parts of the day was reconnecting with people I’ve had the privilege of teaching. I ran into a former pre-licensing student, as well as a couple who attended my post-licensing/continuing education classes. Seeing them again, now growing in their own real estate journeys, was such a rewarding feeling. These are the moments that make teaching so meaningful.

NVAR has supported me throughout my real estate career, and I’m grateful to give back through teaching, mentoring, and being part of this incredible community. It truly feels mutual—we support one another, celebrate one another, and grow together. 🤝❤️

And even Mother Nature seemed to cooperate! ☀️ The celebration wrapped up just before the rain arrived—as if the weather knew we needed one more perfect memory before the storm. 🌧️😊

As my birthday week officially comes to a close, my heart is completely full. ✨✨💫💖💫✨✨

They say there are only five birthdays that truly mark the biggest milestones in a lifetime: when you turn 1, 5, 10, 50, and 100.

Stepping into my golden jubilee this week has shown me exactly why this milestone is so special.I’ve spent the last seven days celebrating in the best possible ways—from screaming my heart out at an incredible ’80s concert that took me right back to my teenage years, to sharing laughs over breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner with dear, close friends who insisted on celebrating in person and made it happen to be with me.

Today, I’m wrapping it all up by meeting the last friend who wanted to celebrate my birthday together.

To everyone who reached out—whether you called from across the U.S., messaged from Europe, or connected from Asia—thank you. Your words reminded me that no matter the distance, we are all connected. I truly feel like a part of everyone. I am so deeply grateful for the gift of friendship, near and far.

Just like in real estate, life is all about location, foundation, and the community you build around you. I am incredibly lucky to have built such a beautiful network of friends, family, and colleagues over the last five decades.
