The Tour du Mont Blanc. We did it. ❤️🏔️

And honestly, it was even better than we could have wished for.

For days, we walked through some of the most breathtaking places God has created. France. Italy. Switzerland. Mountains that seemed to go on forever. Valleys, waterfalls, wildflowers, little villages, snow covered peaks and views that stopped us in our tracks. But as beautiful as the mountains were, what made this trip so special was who I got to experience it with.

Michael and I decided a long time ago that we want to have more memories than stuff when the Lord calls us home. This trip is one of those memories we will carry with us forever.

We did the TMB our way. We didn’t feel like we had to prove anything or race through it. We combined hard days and big climbs with slow mornings, good food, beautiful hotels and time to simply enjoy where we were. We pushed ourselves, rested when we needed to, laughed a lot and took plenty of time to stop and take it all in. Every day brought beautiful weather and blue skies...until the last day. Rain and cold in the mountains are no joke and we definitely underestimated just how quickly you can get COLD when you’re wet and high in the mountains. But even that became part of the story. It made us appreciate every single day before it when we had sunshine, blue skies and not a cloud in sight.

And maybe that’s part of what the mountains taught us.
You appreciate the sunshine more when you’ve experienced the rain.

We are so thankful for this time together. Thankful for strong legs that carried us farther than we thought they could. Thankful for the beauty of God’s creation. Thankful for adventure. Thankful for 26 years of marriage and for the person beside me through every season.

And perhaps most of all, we’re thankful that after all the miles, we have a life we genuinely love coming home to! We are coming for you Arlington!

Dolly said it best:
“Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”

We return HOME grateful for every single day the Lord gives us.

TMB, you were everything we hoped for and so much more. 🇫🇷🇮🇹🇨🇭❤️

We are soaking up every minute of this birthday week and all the precious time we have before we send you off to college. ❤️

Some transactions are so much more than real estate... this is one of them. ❤️

I had the privilege of helping my dear friends, Dawn & Kye, sell their home as they begin an exciting new chapter in Texas.

While I’m thrilled for all that lies ahead for them, it’s hard to say see ya later to such special friends.
