Happy New Year to everyone!

Here is my hot list of things to do in January 2024!

January 4th-7th

This is the First Friday of the month and of the year! Perhaps you'll want to join the festivities in Grand Center where you'll find all the galleries and museums free and open to the public! You might also want to head over to Foundry Art Center in St. Charles. Where all are welcome to spend some time enjoying the galleries, meeting resident studio artists, and basking in their wide array of art programming, entertainment, and special events.

While you're in Grand Center, you might as well head over to Jazz St. Louis to check out one of Chicago’s most thrilling young trumpeters, composers, and bandleaders, Marquis Hill, who will bring his contemporary and classic jazz, hip-hop, R&B, Chicago house, neo-soul to the stage!

If you made it St. Charles, perhaps you'll want to stay to see comedian Jeff Heffron at The Funny Bone Streets of St. Charles.

Helloooooo! This is the last weekend to check out Mrs. Doubtfire at the Fabulous Fox Theater? You might not want to miss out on your chance to see it before it's gone!

Did you know that January 7th is National Harlem Globetrotters Day? Well, it is, and you can celebrate a day early because on January 6th the Harlem Globe Trotters will be coming to the Enterprise Center. This is an event that is sure to keep you bouncing out of your seat!

On Sunday from 1pm - 3pm, how about heading over to Chico's Bakery on Cherokee Street for their Dia de Los Reyes celebration? In Mexico, January 7th, or the Day of the Three Kings, is typically celebrated with gift giving and sharing in a delicious, sweet bread called a rosca. At Chico's, they are doing just that with free toys for the kids, pictures with the 3 Wisemen, bicycle raffles, meeting Fredbird, grocery giveaways, and of course lots and lots of roscas!

January 8th - 14th

On Monday nights Big River Running Company hosts a group run at both their South City and University City locations. Meeting at 5:45pm runners and walkers of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels are welcome to sprint on over and join in the fun!

Tuesday is a great day to flock on over to The Stifle Theater and watch as Aaron Sorkin's adaptation of Harper Lee's timeless classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, comes to life! You won't want to miss the opportunity to witness this production's stop in St. Louis while on their national tour.

If you know me, you know I love St. Louis! This Wednesday you can enjoy some STL history at the Urban Archaeology Lost Buildings of St. Louis exhibit at the Pulitzer Art Foundation. There you can witness a rich collection of salvaged architectural elements from landmark buildings, residential homes, and neighborhood institutions built in St. Louis from 1840-1950.
On January 11th the Grammy Award-Winning Rebirth Brass Band will be blowing the house down at the City Winery. Their trademark sound pays homage to the New Orleans Brass Band tradition while adding elements of jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and sounds of the streets they grew up on.

Saturday is looking like a great opportunity to head on over to the Touhill Performing Arts Center at UMSL and take a trip through jazz-mad Europe. The performers' sassy music is a testament to their appreciation for American jazz the program will end with the honking horns and swaggering tunes of George Gershwin’s An American in Paris.
Jump into the weekend at the Contemporary Art Museum for Justin Favela: Ruta Madre. This Las Vegas-based artist will present his solo exhibition on the CAM's Project Wall. His vibrant large-scale murals and sculptures are inspired by art history, community. celebration, pop-culture, and his Mexican-Guatemalan upbringing.

Did you know that January 14th is National Dress Up Your Dog Day? Bar K's Winter Formal for Dogs may just be the perfect event for your furry friend to wear that new outfit that might be hanging in their closet. They will be having a Red Carpet, giveaways, and of course you get to vote for the Winter Formal's King and Queen!

January 15th - 21st

January 15th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Head downtown for the March from the Old Courthouse or join the Missouri History Museum Community Celebration. The United Way has several ways for you to participate in Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Also, O'Fallon offers the chance to get involved with their 16th annual MLK Day of Service.

Tuesday marks the second day of Clayton's Restaurant Week. Where all week long participating Clayton Restaurants will be featuring a specific three-course, pre-fixed CRW menu during their dinner hours. Use this week to check out some of your local favorites or discover something new!

Every Wednesday the Be Well Cafe hosts a Farmers Market Bazaar, open from 3 pm - 7 pm. Use this Wednesday to check out their locally grown produce, pastries, artesian food and vendors, live entertainment, and more!

Start your engines and drive on over the America's Center and the Dome, because on January 18th the STL Auto Show is rolling into town. They will be featuring over 500 new cars, pickup trucks, and SUV's from more than 25 manufacturers. They will also be featuring a ride-and-drive event, a free kid zone, drifting, and even pet adoptions!

January 19th is the first day The Lemp Mansion will be featuring their event A Fistful of Hollars. This interactive dinner theater show will include a tasty three-course meal, and an evening full of good laughs, murder, mayhem, and mystery. Will you figure out who dun it?

On Saturday The Loop will be hosting their 17th annual Ice Carnival. The event starts at 11 am where you will be able to view the over 40 ice sculptures, participate in their ice cube giveaway and temporary tattoo scavenger hunt, see live ice carving demonstrations, and so much more! This event is sure to be a brrrr-unch of fun!

This Sunday, Das Bevo is hosting two events to help you round out the weekend. Start your day with their Yoga Buzz, where those of all levels of yoga experience are welcomed. Then head upstairs for brunch and bottomless mimosas featuring live music by Kevin Buckley!

January 22nd - 28th

Wangechi Mutu is a Kenyan American artist. Her exhibit My Cave Call will be housed at the St. Louis Art Museum. Her expansive body of work boasts a collection of mythical creatures, and surreal landscapes, and explores topics such as femininity and globalization.

This year why not pick up on a new hobby? How about fine-tuning a special skill? Well at the Central Dance Studio, you can get down with one of the classes they offer every Tuesday night. From Ballet 101 to Hip Pop, they've got something for everyone to get groovy to!

Everyone can appreciate the finer things in life, and at WAG: An Exhibition for Dogs at the Foundry Arte Center your canine besty can do just that. The exhibit will feature artwork in a dog-friendly color spectrum and placed at appropriate heights for your furry friend's viewing pleasure. There will also be interactive sculptures, art activities for your dogs, and a silent auction on artisanal dog bowls.
On the 26th be prepared for a night of unwavering talent and originality at Diamond Hall's lineup of Powerhouse bands: The Breakdowns, Chronyx, The Ricters, and Daydreamer! Join us for an evening that celebrates the diverse sounds and creativity of these incredible, homegrown musicians.

Saturday has something for everyone! Down in Soulard, you can find some friendly competition and lots of good food at their Mardi Gras Cajun Cook-Off. Here talented amateur cooks will face off preparing some of their best dishes for the panel of hungry judges. The event will also include, live music, cooking and mixology demonstrations, and more!

St. Charles's Historic Main Street will be hosting their Fete de Glance Ice Carving Competition. Marvel as Ice carvers take their chainsaws, chisels, and hot irons to blocks of ice weighing up to 260 lbs. You will also be able to find fire pits and many local restaurants serving breakfast and lunch.
The Bald Eagle is a majestic symbol of the United States. January 28th is a great chance to meet these noble creatures up close and personal because the Pere Marquette Lodge and Conference Center is hosting their Bald Eagle Festival. Birds, unique vendors, fan-favorite restaurants, specialty drinks, and family fun!

January 29th - 31st

January 29th is the second day of the Missouri Botanical Garden's Orchid Show. Take this Monday to experience the Garden's vast orchid collection, which includes over 6,000 individual plants and nearly 700 unique kinds of orchids. Seeing as many of these plants come from California, South Africa, Western Australia, Chile, and the Mediterranean, you'll be traveling the world without ever leaving St. Louis!

As they do every Tuesday, Schlafly will be hosting their Trivia Night at both their Bottle Works and Tap Room locations. The perfect opportunity to grab a drink and pour out all that knowledge!

On Wednesday, how about heading over to the Cardinal's Nation Restaurant and Bar for Family Nights with Fredbird? There they will be hitting all the bases from food, games, prizes, and Fredbird running around! Oh, and did I mention that kids eat free?

May 5th - 7th
It's First Friday! Head to the Grand Center Arts District to check out the exhibits for free and until 9:00. You might want to catch the Artist Lounge @ The Met where they will be celebrating inclusion in the Arts featuring multifaceted poet & actor Ill Skillz who will bless the stage, followed by an open mic night!

This year marks the 16th anniversary of QFest. The fest will feature films that would not otherwise screen in St. Louis, from May 4th - 10th at Hi-Pointe Theatre Presented by Cinema St. Louis, QFest features 26 films from 9 countries. including eight narrative features, two documentary features, 15 narrative shorts, and one documentary short.

On Saturday, join me at the Cherokee Cinco de Mayo Festival on Cherokee Street in South City! This is one of my favorite festivals of the year in St. Louis! My girls and I can't wait to enjoy the delicious food from Cherokee’s Mexican and South American eateries, listen to live music, join the People's Joy Parade, watch the wrestling matches, and more. What started a decade ago as a few booths has blossomed into one of the city’s biggest and happiest festivals!

Also Saturday is St. Louis Microfest! With over 100 international and craft beers available at the Annual St. Louis Microfest, the festival also includes live music, a silent auction, tastes from 75 breweries, food and fun!

Sunday head to Grant’s Farm for Maifest! This German celebration will feature dance performances, German cuisine and Anheuser-Busch products. If you can't make it this weekend, don't worry- Maifest is all month long!

Sunday is also World Laughter Day. Not only is laughing a good work out (Vanderbilt says 15 minutes burns 40 calories!), it's also good for you brain!
It enhances your intake of oxygen, stimulates your heart, lungs and muscles, and increases endorphins released by your brain.
So laugh a little today, it's good for you.

May 8th - 13th
MX Movies & Bar downtown will have Off the Wall Mondays, serving up a full bar, kitchen items, and of course fresh popcorn while you enjoy a hilarious and immersive night of comedy.

May is the month of Twilight Thursdays at the Missouri History Museum, a free outdoor concert series on the North Lawn under a beautiful Forest Park sunset.

Friday at The Missouri Botanical Garden you'll have the opportunity to taste more than 250 wines, both domestic and international, at Grapes in the Garden.
The Laumeier Art Fair will be held Friday through Sunday, and not only features up to 150 juried artists from across the country, but also local food and beverage vendors, hands-on activities for kids, and live music!

On Saturday morning, downtown St. Louis will welcome cyclists from throughout the region for 2023 Car-Free STL, a free, family-friendly downtown bike ride with Trailnet and Metro St. Louis.
On Saturday afternoon, you can enjoy tastings from 4 Hands Brewing Co. and Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. along South Grand Boulevard at the South Grand Brew Hop, followed by a performance by the Steve Ewing Band in Ritz Park.
Sunday is Mother's Day and each state has its own unique way of celebrating! In Hawaii, they give mothers a lei, while in Tennessee, there is a special Mother's Day Brunch featuring classic southern dishes, and in Alaska, some families celebrate by taking a whale-watching tour.

May 15th - 21st

Monday is International Family Day, an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase the knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families.
City Winery St. Louis presents Rio Romeo Tour 2023 live on Tuesday! Rio is a musician creating cabaret punk & indie pop.

Friday is Plant Something Day, and also the opening reception of Botanicals & Blooms III, a celebration of all things floral and botanical at the Green Door Art Gallery in Webster Groves.
Friday and Saturday you might find me over on Sutton Blvd for a Taste of Maplewood! This is the 10th year the festival has been held as a culmination of Maplewood and Richmond Heights’ most renowned restaurants, beloved boutiques, and unique specialty stores, plus live entertainment on two stages!
Saturday 20th head to Delmar Hall to see St. Louis bread artist NandoSTL's Y.O.T.A Album Release Concert. The Year of the Ape concert will also feature Young Cash and the hip-hop legend himself, T-pain.

Saturday is World Bee Day, aimed at protecting these important little pollinators. Not only do 75% of the world’s food crops depend, entirely, or at least in part, on pollinators, but they are key to conserving biodiversity. Plus, they're cute!

Sunday, head to the Missouri Botanical Garden to see Chihuly in the Garden, a stunning exhibition uniting art and nature. Thousands of pieces of blown glass forms in 20 dramatic installations will be throughout the Garden’s grounds until the end of June.

May 22nd - 28th

On Tuesday mornings through October, you can awaken your body with Sunrise Yoga at Gateway Arch National Park!
This series is free, made possible by Gateway Arch Park Foundation as part of their mission to bring innovative, fun and accessible programs to Gateway Arch National Park and Downtown St. Louis.
Thursday at City Park, World Wide Technology will host the 2023 Biz Dash. Known as "St. Louis’ Healthiest Happy Hour," the event is the perfect opportunity for St. Louis area businesses to bring employees together to promote a healthy, active lifestyle. All levels of runners and walkers are welcome!
If you're wanting to cook up something fresh this weekend, swing by the Soulard Farmers Market sometime this week! The market is open Wednesday - Saturday, year 'round.

Friday the 26th is National Road Trip Day and everyone knows I love a good road trip! Me and the family may have to plan a quick one and knock another National Park off our list!
Friday night, you can head to Clayton Community Theater to see Agatha Christie's Murder on the Nile live on-stage!

Saturday through Monday, the St. Louis African Arts Festival will be at the World's Fair Pavillion in Forest Park. This African Arts Festival includes an African marketplace, African arts and crafts, health village, jewelry, clothing, oils, African films, authentic foods, children’s activities, cultural demonstrations and more.
Sunday is National Hamburger Day, and I gotta say, my favorite burger is at Bailey's Range in downtown St. Louis, I'm also a fan of the Hi-Pointe Drive-In but today would be a great time to try a Carl's Drive-In and their famous root beer!

May 29th - 31st
Monday is Memorial Day. Originally started in order to honor the soldiers of the Civil War, today we commemorate military heroes throughout history.

The merchants of Historic Cherokee Antique Row will have their annual Memorial Day, Cherokee Caravan. Go explore charming tree lined Cherokee Street between Jefferson and Lemp and enjoy the eclectic atmosphere.
Wednesday is the last day of May, but the first day of The Missouri Botanical Garden's free, open-air concerts as part of the annual Whitaker Music Festival.
This is a cherished St. Louis tradition, which promotes common heritage, celebrates diversity and encourages vitality within the community.

Hello friends!
Just want to spread the word about the happenings in the Saint Louis Area this month! Wow! It’s June already!

June 3rd - 5th

Its First Friday again and this week I might head over to Sips and Strolls at the Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. They'll have wine, beer and light snacks as you stroll the grounds and learn a bit of history. If you dare!

Tonight is also a good night to head to the Blue Strawberry in CWE for St. Louis native Mars Sinclair. Mars is a gifted and singer-songwriter, and recent local HS graduate, who writes and sings about the wonders, pain, and joys that tap into the spirituality of everyday life.

Art is the star this weekend at the Webster Arts Fair in charming Webster Groves. This prestigious fair features 75 artists from all over the country and also features entertainment, food, and hands-on art activities for all ages.

Saturday is the Lafayette Square Garden Tour and Antique Fair. There will be self-guided tours of nine of the city's most beautiful courtyards and gardens, antique vendors, trolley rides, live music and the chance to shop and eat at the local. Stick around for an evening concert too.
Also on Saturday is the Taste of Grand Center where you can sample the many flavors Grand Center Arts District has to offer at this self-guided tasting event. It’s the perfect opportunity to get a bite of some of the best Grand Center restaurants and explore The District’s many public art installations. From murals to sculptures, you’re sure to find something spectacular!

There are two really fun musicals in town this month. The Lion King is at the Fabulous Fox Theater through June 19th and I've heard great things about this theatrical production. If you want to get nostalgic for the 80's check out the pre-Broadway, world premier of The Karate Kid musical performing in Kirkwood at the Performing Arts Center through June 26th.

Shakespeare in the Glen is back this month at Forest Park with Much Ado About Nothing. This is a great opportunity to picnic at the park on a beautiful evening and enjoy a fantastic local production.

June 6th - 12th

Celebrate St. Louis’ jazz legacy and future, at the Wednesday Night Jazz Jam every Wednesday night. This free and family-friendly this weekly gathering brings jazz within reach for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Jazz Jam takes place inside The Dark Room, at The Grandel.

Wednesday evenings are also a great time to check out the Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden. This beloved summer tradition offers free Wednesday evening concerts under the stars. Bring a picnic and some good friends for a great Wednesday night all summer long. There are exciting things on the horizon for the Botanical Garden this summer as they move towards the grand opening of the new Visitor Center.

The Lumineers are in concert at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights on Wednesday night. This American folk, rock band is based in Colorado and who can forget their international hit Ho Hey?

Grab a hat and gather friends on Thursday for the 31st Annual Forest Park Forever Hat Luncheon supporting the care and maintenance of Forest Park. This year you can enjoy two unique experience options, a cocktail hour and lunch at The World's Fair Pavilion or a picnic-table experience with live music at Pagoda Circle.
Jungle Boogie at the St. Louis Zoo is going on every Friday evening and I might check that out this weekend. You can bring a picnic, see a free concert and there are plenty of family activities. While you're there take a walk around Forest Park and enjoy time outdoors at our beautiful park. It's been called the greatest civic treasure of St. Louis and has a very interesting history.

CWE is said to be the home of the first cocktail party back in 1917 at the Walsh home on Lindell. On Saturday they'll pay tribute to this anniversary with the Central West End Cocktail Party. Enjoy live entertainment, a spirited cocktail competition and, of course, delicious food and drinks available for purchase from more than a dozen CWE bars and restaurants.
Celebrate the kickoff to Juneteenth in the Delmar Loop on Saturday with art, music, and food. The event will open with a Drum Call by Baba Kunma and performances include African Mascarade-Mask to Stilts, African Dance by Spirit Angel of African Dance, and Red Black & Brass Band. There will be fun for the whole family with bounce houses, face painting, art activities, a photo booth and more!

Chris Rock will be performing his Ego Death World Tour Saturday and Sunday at The Stifel Theater.

Join Soulard Pride, the annual golf cart parade and pub crawl, to celebrate Pride month on Saturday. The parade will route around area bars and will finish at Soulard Bastille.

June 13th - 19th
The Muny's summer season kicks off with the fan favorite, Chicago running all week. What a great way to spend an evening side at the park emersed in the sounds of Broadway.

Circus Flora will be presenting it's 36th season under The Big Top in Grand Center this month. This year's theme is The Quest for the Innkeeper's Cask and they'll explore the fascinating caves beneath St. Louis.

Tuesday though Thursday you can get out on the river at night for the Full Moon Float. You don't have to be experienced to enjoy a river trip, campfire and dinner on a private island.

Sunrise Bootcamp will be downtown at Kiener Plaza on Thursday morning. Get up and out there to go through a series of bodyweight exercises and cardio bursts at your own pace.
On Thursday night bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a free concert at the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site. This week is the Grant's World Tour Series: India and China. Sangeetha-Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music will present a short glimpse into Indian Classical Music followed by musicians from the St. Louis Modern Chinese School performing traditional Chinese Music.

Also on Thursday night, the South Grand Dine Around will feature selections from all over South Grand, St. Louis’ international corridor. Get your taste buds ready to eat around the world within five blocks! This year there is a Vegan menu too.

On Friday I might have to hit the Delmar Maker Fair. This annual event showcases makers in the Delmar Maker District, selling handmade wares to the community. This year's fair will take place inside of Third Degree Glass, MADE Makerspace, and Craft Alliance. The evening will also feature food trucks and vendors throughout the district.

Friday night Bon Iver comes to St. Louis and will be performing at the St. Louis Music Park in Maryland Heights. This great outdoor venue also serves as practice arena for our St. Louis Blues during winter months.

Come to CWE on the third Saturday of each month for the Art Stroll. You can experience the neighborhood’s vibrant arts district on McPherson with DIY craft workshops, live music, street performers, artist demonstrations, and more!

The family friendly Gateway Dragon Boat Festival with take place on Creve Coeur lake on Saturday. You'll enjoy live entertainment, kids zone, food vendors and race watching. Proceeds from the festival support Operation Family Help, a non-profit effort assisting families with medical needs not covered by health insurance.

Saturday night Chicago and Brian Wilson will be performing at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre with Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin.

Sunday is Father's Day and you might want to take Dad to Das Bevo for Brunch in the Biergarten featuring Kevin Buckley. Come for a delicious brunch and stay for the bottomless mimosas.

If art is more Dad's speed spend the day at the Contemporary Art Museum for their Family Day. They'll celebrate Juneteenth with food, fun art activities, and interactive performances in our shared outdoor spaces.

If Dad is a Jazz fan, tonight you can check out The 411 with Paige Alyssa at Jazz St. Louis. This will be an inspiring tribute to the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige. Paige Alyssa will lean into their jazz foundations and present brand-new arrangements of the R&B icon’s biggest hits.
Sunday evening also features Song for My Father - A Juneteenth Celebration with Robertnelson, live from The Blue Strawberry. This introspective and bold celebration of American music musically reveals and celebrates fathers and male voices in music.
June 20th - 30th

Tuesday morning rise and shine for Sunrise Yoga at Kiener Park. This gentle yoga practice is designed to energize and align your body and mind through movement and breath.

Wednesday I might head to The Broadway Oyster Bar for Voodoo Tom Petty. Sean Canan's Voodoo Players put on a great show as they cover some of our favorite artists.

On Thursday Justin Bieber will be coming to the Enterprise Center. This is a reschedule show from the original April date.
Head over to Cherokee Street on Thursday night for Art A'Fair. You'll experience art in myriad forms including dance performances, live paintings, fashion shows, live music, body art, and so much more - all from local, emerging artists. The event will be held on Cherokee Street, with the Golden Record as the main stage and check-in location. There will be a full line up of entertainment, drinks and food.

Friday night Neko Chase will be performing at The Sheldon with guest Bendigo Fletcher. Rolling Stone calls her “one of America’s best and most ambitious songwriters". Her unique journey from punk/country torch-bearer to avant pop icon has spanned over twenty years.

There is plenty of music on Friday night, you can check out St. Louis' own Alligator Wine at the Old Rock House. They will be performing 2 BIG sets of Grateful Dead music, one acoustic set and one electric set.

The last Saturday of the month is Meet in the Street over in CWE. Dine al fresco at one of the expanded patios on Euclid Avenue and enjoy free family-friendly festivities as you stroll throughout the neighborhood.

This weekend PrideSTL is thrilled to bring the community together again with Pride Fest. After a two year hiatus it will be great to enjoy this weekend of fun, family, and memories.

Sunday night the smooth sounds of Josh Groban are coming to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre. This tour will be the first time Josh has played songs for a live audience off his latest album, Harmony, released in November 2020.

Hello friends!
It looks like spring is upon us! Let’s get out and enjoy April in Saint Louis!
Here are some great ideas for you to consider this month.

*APRIL EVENTS IN THE STL*
This month, we welcome the sun, along with one of my favorite festivals of the year, the Earth Day Festival in Forest Park. Perhaps it is because it is the first Spring Festival that gives us the opportunity to connect with people, or maybe it is the food and music. Maybe it is learning more about what we can do to preserve our beautiful planet and take of each other. I'm sure that it is all of those reasons that bring me joy.

April 8th - 10th

This weekend is the ThurtenE Carnival, the nation’s largest and oldest student-run carnival at Francis Field on Washington University's campus. Friday through Sunday, you can expect dozens of tasty creations, student-made exhibitions, amusement rides, and a variety of performances by talented members of the Washington University and St. Louis community. All net proceeds will directly support Welcome Neighbor STL.
Saturday is the Make a Wish Missiouri and Kansas' Walk for Wishes in Forest Park. This is a great way to help raise funds to support the "wishes" of local children facing unbelievable odds.

I am really looking forward to An Evening of Soul at Chaifetz Arena on Saturday featuring Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight plus Stephanie Mills and Howard Hewett!
On Saturday night, you'll find me at The Pageant in The Loop checking out one of my favorite bands, Thievery Corporation!

April 11th - 17th

Beginning on Wednesday, and running through Saturday, the Kenny Barron Trio will be performing downtown at the Harold & Dorothy Steward Center for Jazz. Kenny Barron has been honored by The National Endowment for the Arts as a Jazz Master and is an eleven-time GRAMMY™ nominee.
The ABBA tribute band, ABBA: The Concert, are going to be playing on Friday night at the River City Casino and Hotel.

There are a few Easter Egg Hunts you might want to check out this weekend. On Friday the adults can experience the Eggs and Kegs party over at Das Bevo. There will be an adult egg hunt, fish fry dinner, drinks and music. For the kids you could head to The Lodge in Des Peres for their Underwater Egg Hunt. The kids will enjoy the indoor pool with waves and plenty of eggs, games and prizes.

Saturday you can take your furry friend to the annual Dog Egg Hunt at Des Peres Park. Dog treat-filled eggs will be scattered around the park for your hound to track down. A photo opportunity with the Bunny is available before and after the hunt, so be sure to bring your camera.

Saturday night is a great night for some Jazz. Head over to The Sheldon for a Smooth Evening With Jeanette Harris & Althea René, ”The Queens Of Soul Jazz”.

You could also join St. Louis Classical Guitar for an evening with Ana Vidovic, one of the best classical guitarists of today, at the Ethical Society of St. Louis as part of their Great Artist Series. Ana Vidovic is a child prodigy from Croatia, an international touring artist, one of the masters of classical guitar in the world today.

The Improv Shop is hosting the One Four Fives to create a Broadway-style musical completely made up on the spot!

April 18th - April 24th

On Thursday night you might want to head over to The Enterprise Center to see Bon Jovi on their North American tour.

The Celtic Women are bringing their Postcards From Ireland tour to St. Louis on Thursday. Head over to the Stifel Theater to experience this accomplished recording ensemble and world-class performing collective that celebrates Ireland’s rich musical and cultural heritage.
On Friday the Saint Louis Story Stitchers present Peace in the Prairie, an original presentation exploring the concepts of peace and violence, juxtaposing urban life as experienced by African American people living in the city of St. Louis and the state’s endangered prairie lands. Come to the World's Fair Pavilion in Forest Park and enjoy a day of presentations and performances and finish the night off with a screening of the movie under the stars.

This weekend you can see the St. Louis University dance students perform in a new concert program. Emergence: Dance Concert will be at The Grandel Theater in Grand Center Arts District Friday through Saturday. This performance features a collection of new works created for an evening of dynamic, thought-provoking, and original artwork.

If you are a Frank Lloyd Wright fan you might want to check out the special film presentation and fundraiser going on at The Pappas House on Saturday. Ticket price includes personal home tour, pieces of memorabilia from the Pappas House, and admission to Michael Miner’s latest documentary, “Masterpieces” at the Missouri History Museum.
The spring Taco & Tequila Crawl is back in Soulard on Saturday! Come stroll through Soulard and enjoy the best tacos and exclusive margarita, tequila, and beer specials.

Bayou in the Lou is coming to The Lot at The Big Top on Sunday. There will be local cajun food and live musicians including the Red and Black Brass band. They joined us at our Fat Tuesday office meeting and were fantastic!

Earthday365 is hosting the St. Louis Earth Day Festival at the Muny Grounds at Forest Park on Saturday and Sunday. Whether you are coming for the food, the music, or the activities, you will leave a little more inspired about real progress being made to preserve our planet, a little more connected to those around you, and a little more knowledgeable about how you can take action in your daily life.
Procure Market is back! The market for creative women business owners is coming at you again every last Sunday of every month at the City Foundry. This is a vendor market like no other featuring 40-60 vendors of the best in local shopping curated by The Women's Creative.

On Sunday The Kingsbury Gallery on Delmar opens Illustrators: Story Lines, an exhibition of three noted illustrators. There is a great event happening on Thursday night at the Third Degree Glass Factory, the Trailnet Movers & Shakers 2022 Gala! This will be an evening of games, great company, heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and of course, updates on their work. This weekend the Just For Her small business vendor event is coming to South County Center. This event allows local small businesses to showcase their products & services alongside your favorite department stores just in time for all your Mother's Day shopping needs.

If you feel like a little road trip this weekend The Hermann Antique Show is coming to the quaint river town of Hermann MO on Sunday. There will be two buildings filled with antiques and plenty of great food and beverage options in town.

Das Bevo is kicking off their patio season this weekend with Maifest this weekend in their Biergarten. You'll find beer, food, polka, and a beer menu takeover by Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. Pull out your lederhosen and start practicing your yodel!
