we sold through our first-ever pallet of bagged compost this week 🥹🥹🥹 and boy does it feel special to be restocking. too many feels to wade through! but mostly so much gratitude for our supporters, our partners (including the very best local garden center!), our team, and this dream that is finally a reality, guiding us the whole way. ❤️✨🌱 okkkk stop crying and get yer butts to Giambrocco’s this weekend and get your mama some compost! 👩🏽‍🌾🪏🫜☀️

of course we celebrate Earth Day every day over here - but today we’re especially grateful for the nearly 11 million pounds of organic matter you’ve helped us keep out of the landfill (!!), and for the reminder that small actions, done together, do create real, scalable change. and now this year you’re helping us turn that material into compost ourselves! in just a month we’ve delivered more than 100 yards of compost to our community, with hundreds more yards on the way. 🪏 together we’re creating more nutrient-dense, drought-tolerant, healthier soils for us all - an especially important action (here in Colorado especially) on the heels of a record-breaking warm and dry winter, entering into a precarious springtime. keep choosing Mother Nature, and she’ll keep choosing us. let’s act in honor of Earth Day, today and every day, even when the chips are down. love from all of us at Scraps 🪏✨👩🏽‍🌾🫜🌱☀️

this is Way, and she’s the definition of small but mighty. Way has been a customer, supporter, advocate & mobilizer for composting at least since we’ve known her - now going on seven years! - and in that time we’ve learned how tirelessly, passionately & joyfully she has always advocated for the public good. it is always a delight when she shows up to events like this - on the new composting requirements for multifamily buildings - and reminds us that she’s still in our corner. Scraps couldn’t have grown this much & helped shape these exciting policy changes without community champions like her. we love you, Way! ❤️🥹
