🚨 Arvada Airbnb & VRBO hosts — the city just made this official.

As of May 1, 2026, the City of Arvada requires an ANNUAL INSPECTION by a certified home inspector to hold your STR permit. Straight from the city FAQ at arvadaco.gov — no gray area.

On top of that, city officers can issue an immediate summons — no warning — if your rental is missing working smoke detectors, CO detectors, or a fire extinguisher. Violations can result in permit suspension or full revocation.
