Today I hosted a lunch for agents who graduated with me. From the NVAR Leadership Institute in 2025. I love them! They are fun, professional and just great people. But these are the main reasons I do what I do!

1- First of all, it’s fun and I love them to pieces! But why it matters to you is this. These are the people who will text me to let me know about that off-market property in the exact neighborhood you want to be in.

2- They are the ones who will show a bit of flexibility when I ask—pretty please—if we can get an inspection done pre-offer in a competitive situation so you can stay competitive without flying blind and buying without an inspection.

3- They are the ones who genuinely enjoy working with me on a transaction and will often give me an extra opportunity to improve an offer if you really want the house.

4- They are the ones who make sure to keep me (and by extension, you) fully informed throughout the transaction so there are no last-minute surprises.

5- They are the ones who will take my late-night calls when you suddenly have a question about the property, the HOA, or anything else that comes up.

6- Many of them will go to their sellers and confidently say, “I know the agent on the other side—she’s solid, and she’ll get this to the finish line,” which strengthens your offer. (And yes, this works when I’m on the listing side too.) ❤️

Today we ended up taking a spontaneous little road trip because my husband has been wanting to go to Buc-ee’s forever. 😂
He was perfectly happy driving 2 hours just for Buc-ee’s… but I needed one more reason to commit to the drive. So I discovered Natural Chimneys Regional Park was only about 20 minutes away, and that became our last-minute adventure.

We left home around noon and are already heading back. The kids absolutely loved it. The rock formations are so impressive in person, and the old chimney from the historic home that once stood on the property is still there, which was really cool to see. The park also sits right along the North River, with pretty rapids running through it.

Afterward, we made our stop at Buc-ee’s for food, snacks, and random little trinkets, of course. It ended up being such a fun and relaxing day trip.
