Heading into the final weeks of the U.S. presidential election campaign, investors are bracing for cross-asset market volatility in light of heightened macroeconomic and geopolitical concerns. However, investors who can cut through the noise and invest based on the business cycle, not the electoral outcomes, may be better positioned for continued success. Having said that, the election’s outcome does carry policy ramifications for investors and their money over the long term. What’s at stake for financial services, energy, healthcare, and tech industries, among others? What other areas bear watching for opportunities and risks?
