Hello, my name is Patch👻🧵🪡

Yesterday, I dusted off my sewing machine gave new life to worn out antique quilt by making part of it into an adorable ghost pillow.

I used hexagons with English paper piecing for the eyes and nose, and added a fun cross-stitch as a patch.

Loving how it turned out! Now I want to make something else.

Over the weekend I made caramels. The recipe is my grandma’s and my absolute favorite thing she made.

My grandma made them for Christmas but I have always made them in the fall. When Steve and I were newlyweds, we were stationed at Fairchild AFB in Spokane, Washington. Out in front of the BX there was a vender that made kettle corn and sold caramels in the fall. Their caramels were good but I went home and made my own and have made them every fall since.

I wanted to make a gift for one of the real estate agents on my real estate team who is getting married and she just bought her first house. One of my favorite things are crocheted washcloths, so I made a stack for her and set them inside a beautiful Nordic Ware loaf pan with a recipe tucked in.
