Our Q2 2026 Market Report for the Asheville region tells a story of a market gaining steady momentum while holding onto everything that makes Western North Carolina so special.

To close out Q2, closed sales rose 8.8% year-over-year while the region's median sales price held firm at $425,887, a sign that buyers are stepping back in with confidence. In Buncombe County, demand was especially strong, with closed sales up nearly 12%, and even as inventory grew, months' supply actually tightened, meaning the added listings are being absorbed rather than sitting. Homes are taking longer to sell across the region, and that more measured pace is giving everyone a bit more room to make thoughtful decisions.
