Dear friends, family, and Asheville neighbors,
Thank you so much for checking in on us throughout this trying time. We wanted to let everyone know that we are doing well.
As you all know, we are built up high enough to avoid flooding; however, overlooking the devastation in town is heartbreaking. Our hearts go out to the other senior living communities and our neighbors in the area who have not been as fortunate.
We always have emergency food supplies, but we have already received food and water deliveries and are in good shape. We are thankful for our vendor partners that saw their way here, and to our regional director and his wife for driving up the day after the storm to ensure we had everything we needed.
Our generator runs on natural gas and has been working fine while the lineman try to restore power to the area. We are thankful for those young men and women as well.
We have cell phone service available to us.
We are always thankful to our staff for getting to the community to serve our residents, and during times like these we are particularly grateful for our live-in managers that are always here when we need them. They rode out the storm and never left the community, providing our residents an extra layer of comfort and security during a scary time.
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers, but remember those around us that are not doing as well as we are. We are counting all of our many blessings at Bella Vista.
Thank you.
