They say home is where the heart is ♥️, and boy does this homesite have some heart!

Nearly a decade ago, this property gave me one of my most precious possessions that will forever remind me of the love and support the natural world is wants ro provide us with, if we are willing to pay attention. I am so grateful I had my eyes open wide enough that day to notice this very special piece of pine bark on the ground that included an almost perfect heart, grown naturally into its facade.

I am beyond excited to see my clients getting ready to break ground on their custom build in Walnut Cove, as this land has a lot of love to give these new members- congratulations!

Exciting things are in the works for my clients as we begin site prep for their future Cliffs Builders ‘Spruce’ build on what is hands-down one of my favorite homesites in the Wildwood enclave, CWC-2-316.

Offering southwestern exposure, gentle topography and a private feel, this design and its elements are a natural fit for their homesite, and are sure to bring the outdoors in; especially with a package that looks that good, and lives like they made for these woods.

Chicago’s loss will undoubtedly be our gain as we welcome these fantastic folks to the community; what an honor it has been to assist with their real estate needs as they start their next, and best chapter yet, at The Cliffs.

… A little ditty 'bout Jeff & Diane …

these fantastic friends just bought what I believe to be hands-down one of my top homesite picks of all time in Walnut Cove.

When I was living in the community about a decade ago, I would finish my run every morning on this lot, climbing up what I thought was a hunting stand to watch the sun rise, and the day come alive over the mountains.

10 years later and quite a bit has changed…

Not only have I figured out that what I thought was a hunting stand is actually a ‘viewing platform’, the universe gifted me an opportunity far greater than this realization. What an honor it was to help find and facilitate the future caretakers of this special spot that called to me every morning, encouraging me to take the time to watch the world wake up.

Time and time again, Tree View Trail taught me that sunrises can be even more powerful than sunsets; but my sailor, you must be willing to share spirit, and take warning.

One of the most walkable and close-knit pocket communities of Walnut Cove, Cove Park offers its residents a true custom design and approach to exclusive mountain living, all on a smaller scale and within walking distance to our incredible 18,000 square foot Wellness Center- not to mention easy access to miles of hiking trails.

Exactly a decade ago, almost to the day, I snapped these photos with my film camera out in Walnut Cove to ensure I had documented and created a visual memory of this special space that had always meant something more to me than I could explain.

Almost daily, McGee and myself would walk here to sit on the hill and watch the world wind itself down for the day over sunsets, and moon rises, with Sleepy Gap as the backdrop.

Fast forward 10 years and I would have never expected to be blessed with the opportunity to assist in finding the future caretakers of this bit of land that meant, and still means so much to me.

Congratulations to my clients- I could not possibly think of anyone else I would rather see choose to call CWC-2-172 the perfect spot for their future dream home.

Most of my early 20s was spent walking around the undeveloped homesites of Walnut Cove, exploring each nook and cranny of the property, finding treasures of the natural world and learning about the people of WNC who originally settled in this valley in the late 1800s.

Although there is not a single lot in the entirety of the community that doesn’t have something unique and special to offer, there are certain homesites that speak to me in a way that reaches deep into my soul, bringing a bit of my spirit to the surface.

CWC 1-106 has always fallen into that category for me. Today I got to witness the gift of watching two unbelievably wonderful humans close on this homesite and begin their journey towards building their future life and home here; continuing to uphold the story of this land. It brings my heart so much joy to know that they also feel home when they are standing on this land, and it will be cared for and admired for years to come, just as It’s previous caretakers The Wynn’s and Moore’s did when they purchased this land back in 1892.
