It is been awhile since I have posted on Facebook. I took a break from what sometimes has become an out pouring of personal opinions.

Today, that moratorium is over. For everyone that sees this, I want to clarify that WNC is healing. Yes, we are all traumatized, and scared, but our government, and yes that includes President Biden, has orchestrated a mammoth recovery for our mountains. FEMA, $750, 30 day housing at hotels outside the area, they are inspecting our homes for damage, providing equipment our mountain folks can't afford. Generators, Chainsaws, The National Guard, what has rolled through our streets is crazy, even more overhead with the biggest helicopters I have ever seen. This is only a start, be patient and please keep your thoughts positive.

The locals are giving heart back and filling in all those places that maybe be missed. Caring for neighbors. It is incredible the outpouring of love.

I am so proud to be in this area, and belonging to the United States of America.
