The video was 516 Edgehill Ave the day we purchased it. One of our team members did the before video before clean out started.
The odor originally from cats was so bad the video was done a little fast and that everything that would hold any type of odor was to be removed. The amount of discarded furniture and so much more filled up over 4 complete dumpster. I believe we used a total of 7 dumpsters on this job.
It is very difficult to understand the work, time and money that is needed when doing a flip of this size. A huge project like this took 5 months to complete.
You hope in some houses there are things that you can simply keep and not replace. This house was a complete gut and remodel.
After removing the paneling throughout the house there was wall paper everywhere. A lot of the walls instead of having drywall actually had OSB board under the paneling.
There was nothing that we could salvage except the steps and railing. Even the floor molding had to go due to the cat spray and smell.
Every wall, ceiling, floor covering, light fixtures, k**b & tube electric wire, plumbing, windows needed replaced or repaired. Drop ceiling were in every room on the first floor that we removed to reveal 9’ tall ceilings that were in bad shape.
We installed central air, new decks, all new appliances, windows, newer siding and roof had been completed, insulation, flooring and so much more.
Redesign door way locations and sizes, removed doors and walls to make living spaces more comfortable and larger.
This was a huge very expensive project. Most projects are not this large or costly but we knew it would be going in.
