Hi, Cody - thank you for reaching out to me. What an exciting time for you and your family! The home buying process is seriously a big deal and one of the largest investments you and your family will make (and sometimes more than once). It’s important to find a professional to help you navigate the ins and outs of the process; so kudos to you for trying to make the right decision on a Realtor. The market is pretty intense right now for both buyers and sellers. You may hear many say that this is a “seller’s market” since home prices are up due to lower than normal inventory of available homes. However, I also feel that it is a "buyer’s market” due the incredibly low interest rates that have not been seen before. It’s all an emotional balancing act to find the best home that fits your family’s needs, makes your heart skip a beat, and all at a price that you can comfortably afford. You asked for my experience in helping buyers find homes in this area. To begin with, I’m a life-long resident of Ashland; having lived in the country (with a septic and well) and in the city (with public utilities). I’ve gone through the Ashland City School system, including Ashland University, and so have my children. I love the people of Ashland and all that we have to offer here for families including our downtown, churches, shopping, entertainment, businesses, non-profits, and recreation. I spent almost ten years running the Chamber of Commerce in Ashland and more years working and eventually being the co-owner of a local manufacturing company. I truly believe that my years of experience as a citizen, wife, mom, daughter, home owner, volunteer, and business owner have prepared me for the work of helping people find the right place to call home. I would love to be a part of your home-buying process too if you would give me that honor. I feel it’s a high calling and take my role very seriously. If you would prefer to hear from some of my former clients (who are now my friends) you may read a few of their recommendations that are on my website. I’m sure that if you wanted to talk with any of them, they would be happy to do so. Just let me know who and I’ll ask their permission to share their phone number with you. I just helped another Cody and his wife put an offer on their first home this week. It’s such an exciting time! I’d love to be able to help you and your family as well. I look forward to hearing back from you, Cody. Have a wonderful evening!
