January throough June is the BEST time to list your home in Richmond, Va. March, April and May are our largest under contract months in the year. But I think the best strategy is to get your home on the market mid February to March 1 before inventory begins to pile up. If you wait until May to list your home you have to compete with Mother's Day, graduations, Memorial Day, end of school activities, weddings etc. Be ready early and get a better price and faster sale!
