As late summer sets in, bear sightings around Aspen are on the rise. Living in the valley means sharing our home with incredible wildlife, but it also means taking a few extra steps to protect both our properties and the bears themselves. π»
Whether youβre hosting guests, managing a luxury rental, or settling into your home for the season, simple habits make a massive difference. Always secure your trash in wildlife-resistant bins or locked garages, keep vehicle doors and lower-level windows shut, and scrub down outdoor grills after cooking. And if you happen to spot a bear on a walk, especially a mama with cubs, give them plenty of space and resist the urge to get closer for a photo.
Taking care of our home means taking care of the environment around us. Let's keep Aspen safe and wild this season! π²
