As I reflect back on 2024, I tend to focus on all the low points this year had to offer, and when I say they were plentiful, I mean, this year felt like the gift that just kept on giving, mainly in the loss of our bestest and oldest boy Jacob… my ride-or-die and my boy for almost 13 years. The losses of our pets never get any easier and I swear, they take a piece of our heart every single time they leave us. Alex and I were devastated to move through the second half of this year without him and we miss him every. damn. day ♥️

But I also had the opportunity last night to work alongside one of my favorite people/badass business woman Lisa at and while we reflected back on the year, it brought some things into perspective, which helped to remind me that I’m going into 2025 riding a wave of positivity… I think it’s only appropriate that while this year is already looking up, we are also rebranding our business to reflect our core values.

This is our year, y’all. Rebel Real Estate Group is the new face of Vesta Realty, and and I will continue to offer our most authentic selves to our clients. To the Realtor who spent months writing offers, driving buyers around to showing after showing, spent nights and weekends working and took time away from their families, only for that buyer to ghost them and call a listing agent off a sign or that they saw online (or they found a FSBO and decided they would cut everyone out): I'm so sorry. 😢

To the Lender who spent months working with a buyer, sending many payment calculations, reviewing documentation upfront, spending time in Approval Consultations, answering the many important questions, knowing the guidelines to work through the unique situations upfront, calling listing agents to plead for your offer and for you to WIN that offer …. Only to be ghosted after going under contract because they went with 123 lender online who did zero work, pushed a button or two 🚀 and didn’t help you win your offer and the loan officer was a dog groomer and was not in the mortgage just six months ago (true story). I'm so sorry. 😢

I know for most of us it isn't about the money and most buyers don't realize those months of work and time away from our families were for free.….. It's more about the time, effort, energy and love you put in only to have it stripped away and you not get to be there when they close and to do what you truly love which is getting families into homes. That is the ultimate WHY in our business and the satisfaction that keeps us going day in and day out and when that is taken from you, it hurts. It hurts so bad sometimes it devistates you to the core. For that pain you have felt over and over…. I'm so sorry. 😢

Buyers, please be considerate of your Real Estate and Mortgage Professionals. 🙏

We love you and we care about you, and we put so much time and energy into helping you reach your homeownership goals. It's why we do what we do- day in and day out. However, it's also completely at zero pay if you don't close with us. That time and energy is wasted and we can't get it back. We can't get those long hours and nights away from kids, family and loved ones back.

So please, please, please, for the love of everything good in this world- be considerate of those who are working for you. Ask the right questions before making random decisions. Experience Matters. Give the professionals the same respect they gave you for all those months while helping you.

Just Sold!!

Congratulations to my Coast Guard clients for closing on this chapter of their time in Oregon!

Cheers to another Coast Guard client as she moves on to her next duty station!! As with most things with the Cost Guard, this client got last-minute orders and had to pivot on a home sale quicker than anticipated, but we did it! We got her home on the market in less than a week and under contract quickly to help ease that stressful transition and make sure this awesome client, (and her super cute doggo, Gus), got things wrapped up before leaving for Alaska!
