Beach days don’t have to be planned months in advance or saved for a special occasion. Sometimes they’re just a regular Friday, a little sunshine, and a toddler running wild in the sand. 🌊☀️

One of our favorite community spaces got a beautiful update, and it’s worth a visit!

The Astoria Library has always been one of those special community spaces that’s so much more than just a place to grab a book. It’s a place for families to gather, neighbors to connect, and people of all ages to learn, create, and spend time together.

The refreshed space has some pretty fun features you might not expect. Beyond books, the Astoria Library offers so many ways to get involved, from music classes and story times to cooking demos, art classes, knitting groups, teen hangouts, and community discussions. Plus, did you know you can even check out small appliances from the library? ☕🧇

We love highlighting the places that make the North Oregon Coast such a great place to call home, and the Astoria Library is a perfect example of what makes our community so special. 💙

Why isn’t my home selling?

One of the biggest concerns we hear from sellers is, “My home has been on the market for two weeks...what’s wrong?”

The truth is, homes taking longer to sell than they were a few years ago, but many sellers are still comparing today’s market to stories they hear from friends whose house sold in one day for $50,000 over asking.

Those stories do happen, but they’re the exception, not the expectation.
With higher interest rates and more inventory, buyers are taking more time to tour homes, compare their options, and make informed decisions. That means it’s completely normal for a well-priced home to spend more time on the market than it would have a few years ago.

Instead of focusing on the number of days your home has been listed, pay attention to the activity:
🏡 Are buyers scheduling showings?
🏡 What feedback are they giving?
🏡 Is the price in line with today’s market?

If your home has been listed for a few weeks, don’t assume it’s time to panic. Sometimes it simply takes longer to connect with the right buyer. Selling a home today is less about getting lucky and more about having the right pricing strategy, strong marketing, and a little patience.
