Last month, Landmark Properties celebrated two major milestones with the groundbreaking of The Mark Auburn near Auburn University and The Walk on Shop Road serving students at the University of South Carolina. Together, these developments represent more than 1,600 new beds delivering modern, high-quality student housing across two thriving SEC markets.
 
The Walk on Shop Road is slated to open for the 2027 academic year, while The Mark Auburn will deliver in 2028, with both communities featuring best-in-class amenities designed to support student life, wellness and connection. Each groundbreaking also included a $10,000 contribution to local organizations, supporting families and community initiatives in Auburn and neighborhood improvements in Columbia.

Landmark Properties has exchanged contracts to partner with Citrus Group and Galliard Homes on the redevelopment of Prince Bishops Place in Durham, England - marking another major milestone in the firm’s continued expansion into the UK market.

The proposed mixed-use scheme will deliver 504 purpose-built student bedrooms alongside new retail and leisure offerings, enhanced pedestrian connectivity, and improved access to the River Wear - all while preserving key existing infrastructure.

As Landmark’s third UK development, the project reflects its broader strategy to scale investment in high-demand university markets and deliver thoughtfully designed, community-integrated student living environments.
