🚰 **AUB Annual Water System Flushing Underway This Week** 🚰

Athens Utilities Board Water Division crews will be flushing water lines and fire hydrants throughout the city this week during regular daytime hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), weather permitting.

This important preventive maintenance helps ensure clean, sediment-free water and reliable service year-round.

**What customers may experience:**
💧 Periods of low water pressure as crews work through different areas.
💧 Slightly cloudy water during and shortly after flushing. This is normal and should clear up with time.

May 30 Outage Update:Crews have been working since early this morning and continue restoring outages as new ones come in. Recent heavy rainfall has caused multiple issues across the system, though causes may vary by location. We appreciate your patience as crews work to restore power as quickly as possible.

AUB crews are currently responding to a power outage affecting the Hiwassee Builders Supply area, including portions of Chilhowee St, Georgia Ave, Oak St, and surrounding areas.

Crews are en route now to determine the cause of the outage and make necessary repairs as quickly and safely as possible.
