There are many ways or looking at a problem. Is it correct to “code” is it correct to a “standards or practice” is it correct to “common sense”.

Safety and habitability inspections are what most home inspection “standards or practice” adhere to.

Just because something is not up to “modern code” doesn’t make it wrong, it makes it an opportunity to improve, an opportunity to make it better.

Two wire home circuits without a ground worked fine for years. Two wire with a ground is better and safer and more responsible way to go. But does it make it wrong!? NO. It just means considerations must be taken and compromise must be considered.

Remember EVERYTHING can be repaired, fixed, upgraded or negotiated. Stressing over things never gets anyone anywhere.
