A little (not so little 😅😆) celebrating, a little work, and plenty of life in between. ❤️
September brought birthday wishes, time with family, and closings worth celebrating. We did our first fun run/walk as a family 🥰💞 and had a great time despite the rain!
Looking back through these clips, I’m glad I captured more than just the work milestones.
What’s one moment from September you’d want to replay?

The pumpkins and fall plants at The Fresh Market caught my eye before I even made it inside. 🎃

The closing table was the calmest part of this transaction. 😅
When the appraisal came in low, we had more work to do before my buyers could get the keys. We worked through the process, got everything in order, and finally made it to closing on Friday. Seeing them reach that moment felt especially rewarding!
My day started much earlier with Pure Barre, a quick shower, and our team’s meeting. Then it was off to the final walk-through and Campbell & Brannon in Suwanee, where closing went smoothly and all parties were happy to open a new chapter.
I left with happy clients and enough candy to make my kids happy, too. 🍬

I spend a lot of time walking through houses, and one thing IKEA gets right is making every inch count. 😂
I’ve seen large homes with nowhere to put anything… and small homes where the layout just works.
Give me good storage, functional kitchen cabinets and a thoughtful floor plan over wasted square footage any day.
I’m curious: would you rather have a smaller home with an amazing layout or a bigger home with more space but a less functional floor plan?

September 21. My favorite line in the song for a reason. 🎂❤️
Nothing fancy this year. Just dinner with my family, birthday wishes from friends, candles to blow out, and another year to be grateful for.
The older I get, the more I appreciate birthdays like this - because of who I get to share life with.
Feeling loved, thankful, and pretty lucky today. ❤️
And yes… I will forever claim this song as my birthday song. 🎶

Waiting for home prices to come back down sounded reasonable in 2019.
Metro Atlanta median home price then: $285,000.
Mid-2026: $442,500.

And even using 2019’s $1,200 median rent for the entire seven years, that’s another $100,800 paid toward housing.
This is NOT me saying everyone should have bought in 2019 or that buying is always better than renting. Timing, finances, and lifestyle matter.
But waiting for the ‘perfect market’ has a cost too.

Would you rather buy at a higher interest rate and refinance later, or keep waiting for prices to fall?

Coffee before sunrise, an early drive to Cleveland, a 5K through a wildlife park… and eventually a whole lot of rain. 😂🌧️
We mostly walked because of the weather, which turned out to be a pretty good way to experience the North Georgia Wildlife & Safari Park Safari Run. We got to see the animals, enjoy the course and were almost finished before the rain really started coming down.
Unfortunately, that meant we couldn’t use the safari passes included with the race afterward. But we DID win a couple of raffle prizes, so I’m calling the morning a success. 😂
Definitely one of the more unusual Saturday mornings we’ve had in North Georgia.
