In 2020, Michelle K. Patterson joined the sales side of real estate by successfully obtaining her IL real estate license. She also holds a Georgia real estate license and is the owner- broker of “The One Advantage Property Advisors, Real Estate Firm.”
Her love for community development and housing reform sparked at the age of 27. Often times, Ms. Patterson was the youngest in the room when important decisions were being discussed about future developments of Chicago neighborhood’s housing, economic, and safety infrastructures.
For over a decade Ms. Patterson joined numerous community organizing effforts by walking block by block to engage and inspire residents to take action on the issues that mattered to them. Also, mobilizing groups to travel to the State’s Capital, in Springfield, IL and Capital Hill, in Washington DC.
Ms. Patterson, along with her children; PraVione, Amaginese, and Malik walked their own neigborhood counting the vacant lots, closed businesses, and dilapitated houses, but Ms. Patterson envisioned a new community, and a new city.

She is committed to driving initiatives that will keep families off of the street, preventing homelessness/ or providing supportive services to assist families in crises.
