We had a little bit of rain come through this afternoon! My fatsia starts, most of which are client gifts, were floating in 3" of rain water! Glenn Burns did warn that we were going to have a rainy end of summer and early fall. He wasn't joking!

Found a fun new place in Avondale Estates! The Book Bird of AE is a small independent book shop with a wine bar and coffee shop. Have a glass 🍷 or a cup ☕️ and browse the books. Located in the new Town Green development. Definitely check this place out. And yes, I bought that book after reading it a bit ❤️

For some reason, I was wondering what was the most expensive home currently on the market in metro Atlanta. That title goes to 3687 Briarcliff Road NE, 30345. On the market now for 249 days, it's listed for $35,000,000. Known as the Atlanta Whitehouse, this stunning home features a recreation of the Oval Office and a copy of the Resolute Desk. There's also a ballroom, theatre, sauna, and of course a pool.

Maybe they'll take $33,000,000? If you have the proof of funds, I have the time!

Adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs) are having a moment. ARMs start with a lower fixed interest rate for a set period, then adjust periodically, up or down, based on market rates.

They're making a comeback because today's relatively high mortgage rates make the lower initial payments of ARMs attractive to buyers who expect to refinance or move before the rate adjusts.

ARMs can be a great option to get a lower monthly payment in the beginning. But be careful. The rate can increase significantly, sometimes resulting in a payment that you can't afford. While Fixed rate mortgages may start with a higher rate, the rate is set, making your monthly payment more stable.

The Amy Sherald exhibit is at the High Museum of Atlanta through September. Who is she? She’s the artist who painted the Obama portraits. But those are just small (yet large) examples of her work. The exhibit is entitled American Sublime. Her works are large, and she uses ladders and scaffolding to paint them. A few photos below. If you go, I recommend starting on the top level (Sky level), seeing the video, then seeing the exhibit which is on two levels.
