So many people have asked why we are getting married in Italy. "You have family there, I assume?" or "Are you Italian?" Welp...the answer is: Neither. I have wanted to get married in Italy since I was 6 or 7 years old (my parents can't quite remember which I was when I first told them). So, when Randy and I met, I told him on our second date "Just so you know, I'm getting married in Italy" to which he replied, "What does that have to do with me?"

Well well well, fast forward 4.5 years later, and he is 47 days from it having EVERYTHING to do with him 😅 🍝 When he proposed, he knew that was non-negotiable. Hey, at least I set proper expectations, right? 🤷🏻‍♀️

So, friends: Please drop alllllll the advice below for staying calm and somehow being able to focus on ANYTHING besides wedding for the next 37 days! I'm going to need it! 🍷

• I fell in love with Atlanta while attending Emory for graduate school (and I also met my fiance here, so that may have played a role 😍)

A client told me last night: "I was really interested in this house, but there was just NO CURB APPEAL! When I drove up, I was immediately turned off."

✔️ YES, we are in a hot 🔥 market.
✔️ YES, some sellers are getting away with more than they would in different market conditions.
✖️ NO, that doesn't mean curb appeal doesn't matter!

I had a come-to-Jesus meeting with myself this week. I started letting my thoughts and emotions (in this case, fears) drive my actions. As my background in psychology and suicidology teaches me, thoughts do not have to become feelings. YOU can control that transition. In the moment, though, it seems kinda nice to just let your emotions take over and blame your lack of motivation on them, right? Well, I quickly realized this spiral was going to get me absolutely NOWHERE. So, I asked Randy to help me create a plan. I reached out to someone who believes in me and re-directed my thoughts in a way that propelled me forward instead of dragging me back. By letting my actions drive my thoughts, I'll tell ya....I'm a LOT more productive 😅

I'm not usually one to get all mushy on the gram, but for whoever needs to hear this today: Keep your head up.
