🏠 The City of Atlanta Housing Homeownership Program offers up to a $20,000 Voucher towards the Down payment and closing costs to First time Home Buyers and also for Borrowers who haven’t owned a property in the last 3 years. The Maximum Home Loan amount is $275,000. There are also a few guidelines that fall in place in order to be qualified.

1. Borrower Must prove that they’ve been a Georgia resident for no less than 6 months.

2. Borrower income must not over exceed 80% of the Area Median Income with at least a 580 Credit Score!!! (Although I would recommend shooting for at least a 640!

3.Borrower must not own over $25,000 in liquid assets including stocks.

4. Must be a primary residence and not a investment property unless its a Multifamily and borrower must occupy one of the units.

5. There is a required Non-Refundable $250 application processing fee paid to the City of Atlanta Housing Authority.

6.This Grant is forgivable after 10 years of occupancy unless homeowner sells the home and then the profit proceeds from the sell must be used to repay the amount used in down payment assistance.

7. Can be used to purchase Multifamily properties up to 4 units, Townhomes, and condominiums

We are seeing the market stabilizing not switching. Buyers are able to negotiate more, home are lasting more days in the market. Not as much competition!!!!
