Jerry and I went to Upper West Market’s grand opening in west midtown. We were looking forward to it since it’s in our hood but now wondering if it’s sustainable. Also hoping they get more vendors in there as it seemed like most people were there to eat at Summerland.

James Beard Award-winning chef Anne Quatrano’s Summerland restaurant was packed so that’s a good sign. Summerland is a fine-casual daytime restaurant offering a farm-inspired seasonal menu.
Open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 - 3:00 offering breakfast and lunch.

People ruin everything!
4th of July didn’t go exactly as planned because a guy decided to shoot off celebratory gunfire during a fireworks show at Avondale. Luckily nobody was harmed but it did scare everyone and we all were running frantically out of the venue. Nobody should shoot off celebratory gunfire ever especially around children and families.

Seller says, “How about we list high and see what happens”. That’s not a good strategy anymore . . . that’s wishful thought. This is what happens when sellers overprice a home in this market. It’s going to sit, maybe they’ll be a few showings or none at all.
A home sitting on the market is never good. Buyers start to wonder what’s wrong with it. Then the seller may decide to lower the price or wait for low offers. Either way it’s not a great situation for a seller.

It’s better to list it right out of the gate and have buyers bidding on your home. Creating buzz so buyers don’t want to miss out.

That’s how I market a property so I can get the most money for my clients.
