The first woman owned bottle shop in Georgia opened yesterday .atl
The story of Ancestral was born due to the lack of quality agave products in the Atlanta retail market. Many beautiful products were being replaced with mass produced, celebrity endorsed and low quality agave spirits. The owner, Roxana, wanted to change that and create a space where smaller brands would be able to take up space on the shelves.
They have a great selection of tequilas and mezcal. You can also purchase handcrafted products from Mexico like cute copitas, which means “little cup”.

There’s a great new restaurant called Birdcage off of Memorial. It’s the same owners as Firepit Pizza Tavern and I’ve been here twice in the last week and a half and it is fantastic! It’s a lot of shareable items that are delicious!!!
The interior is inspired by the movie Birdcage starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane. I went with Annie and Jerry yesterday and they agreed with me. It’s great simple food that’s elevated! I could eat here all the time, who wants to go?
