One of the biggest fears of most sellers is that when a buyer does get the home inspected, something will be discovered that kills the sale. When sellers have a pre-listing home inspection done, they can get ahead of issues a buyer might find in the home and reduce the likelihood a sale will fall through.

This also gives sellers an opportunity to collect cost estimates for repairs, and determine whether they want to pay to have large repairs done proactively before listing or lower their list price.

Some other advantages to a pre-listing home inspection are:

✔️ Discover property conditions before a buyer walks through the door
✔️ Fix problems and display receipts showing what repairs have been made
✔️ Disclose any and all known defects with the home

It’s always a good idea to review your credit report and scores periodically, even if you are years away from buying a home or getting a mortgage.

However, If you are planning to buy a home in the next 6 months (or even just starting to think about it), knowing your credit score is an important first step to becoming a homeowner.

Mortgage lenders will use your credit scores AND report as important factors in determining what loan you qualify for, and what interest rate to offer you. If you don't regularly check your credit, and there are errors on your credit report, you may have trouble qualifying for a loan and getting a mortgage.

Now is the perfect time to inspect your smoke detectors and CO2 Detectors. Start the holidays knowing that your family, visitors, and home are safe! PRO TIP: Smoke detectors typically only last about 10 years, so if you are unsure how old they are (or they have turned yellow), it's probably time to replace them!
