Y'all, I'm SO proud of our little city right now. 🍂💛

USA TODAY just ranked Woodstock #3 in the entire country for Best Place to Visit this Fall — our very first year even being nominated! Thousands of people across the country voted, and out of 20 amazing cities, we made the top 3. That's downtown shops, Reformation Brewery, our art scene, our trails... and yep, our Scarecrow Invasion made the case too! 🎃 That's all of us. 🙌

🚨 Welcome to Georgia… where the state line should honestly come with a translator, a bottle of sweet tea, and a warning about Atlanta traffic. 😭🍑🚗

Because in Georgia, we don’t just talk…

We speak Southern, mountain, small-town, Atlanta commuter, and SEC football all at the same time. 💀

Here:

“Y’all” = everybody 🤝
“Atlanta traffic” = daily emotional damage 🚗😭
“OTP” = Outside The Perimeter
“ITP” = Inside The Perimeter
“Bless your heart” = not always a compliment 💀
“Holler” = a tiny mountain valley in North Georgia 🌄
“Fixin’ to” = about to
“Pollening” = the annual yellow apocalypse 🌼😭

Meanwhile:

• somebody on I-285 is questioning every life decision they've ever made 🚗💀

• a deer just appeared out of nowhere on a North Georgia backroad 🦌

• the Blue Ridge Mountains are covered in morning fog ⛰️

• and somebody on Tybee Island still says 65° is “too cold for the beach.” 😂

Outsiders:

“What does any of this mean?”

Georgians:

“Perfectly clear.” 🤝

Also, every Georgia conversation somehow includes at least one of these:

🏈 Georgia football
🍑 peaches
🍗 barbecue
🌼 pollen
🚗 traffic

And somehow all five might come up before lunch. 😭
