🏡 Meet Maverick and Kayla.
Ten years ago, they chose this Flowery Branch home because it gave them exactly what they needed: two bedrooms upstairs, a separate hangout space downstairs, and a fenced backyard where their two dogs could run and play.
But over the years, it became much more than the right floor plan.
This is the home where they spent their twenties and thirties, grew together, and became a family.
Kayla’s favorite room is the kitchen because it offers plenty of storage, room to cook, and space for everyone to sit, eat, and spend time together.
What they will miss most is the peace.
At night, they hear an owl and the sounds of wildlife—not city noise—even though the main road and everyday conveniences are close by. There is even a tiny sourdough bakery just down the road.
And then there is the yard.
Rosemary grows by the mailbox. There is a fig tree, blackberries and honeysuckle behind the fence, mint in the garden, roses, irises, azaleas, and rain lilies that appear after a hard rain. They were even working toward creating a more natural, low-maintenance backyard filled with grass, clover, and chickweed.
Although the setting feels quiet and tucked away, the library, restaurants, Target, grocery stores, coffee shops, gas stations, and home improvement stores are all within about ten minutes. Flowery Branch, Braselton, and parts of Buford are all easily accessible, and the elementary, middle, and high schools are each within approximately one mile.
They believe the next owner may be someone just starting out—a couple, a young family, or someone looking for a peaceful place to put down roots.
And the message they would leave behind?
“I’ve loved every minute of living here, and I hope you do too. It’s a wonderful home. We are going to miss it.”
Soon, Maverick and Kayla will be handing the keys to someone new.
