‼️LISTEN NEW AGENS AND REAL ESTATE CLIENTS!!!!‼️
No, because real estate agents do not fund down payment assistance programs.
These programs that are so highly sought out are typically funded by
👩🏽⚖️ government agencies
🌱 non-profit organizations
🏦 financial institutions
Real estate agents act as guides and administration to a lot of things INCLUDING this process if needed. 💪🏽
Our role is to connect buyers with these resources, NOT to provide the funding themselves.
So… BEWARE OF THE MARKETING TACTICS. 🚫
‼️‼️‼️pull up the HOUSING AUTHORITY, and then select buy or down payment assistance, and you should see preferred lenders. (This can be different depending on your location, so let me know if you need me to assist you)
Once you get in touch with one of these parties, they can inform and educate you about any other programs out there and also the extra pieces that come from working with them.
NOW, when you interview agents you can ask them questions and get explanation on things that you really need and want to know.
YOU MAY NOT WANT THE PROGRAM. It happens all the time with me and my clients. They end up changing their mind, so I want to be TRANSPARENT!
New agents or future home buyers, feel free to contact me for clarity and if you are selling, as long as the home is sold by the time your new loan closes…. You could still be eligible for some assistance.
