My favorite title will always be “Mommy.”
Last week’s trip felt like a reminder of just how quickly time is moving. At only 18 months old, my baby girl has grown so much. She calls me mommy now, plays dress up beside me, watches my every move, copies my expressions, and wants to do everything just like me. It’s beautiful, emotional, and honestly one of the greatest privileges of my life.
Motherhood has taught me patience, softness, sacrifice, strength, and a level of love that words truly cannot explain. There are long days, sleepless nights, moments of overstimulation… but somehow the tiny hugs, little voices, sandy toes, and arms reaching for you make every single part worth it.
Being a mother means understanding that little eyes are always watching …learning how to love, how to speak, how to carry themselves, and how to feel safe through you. That responsibility is powerful and sacred.
These moments from our trip are the ones I’ll hold onto forever. The matching hats, beach days, cuddles, and hearing “mommy” over and over again.
Happy Mother’s Day to every mother, bonus mom, grandmother, and woman nurturing the next generation with love. There truly is no greater calling.
