For the last month, my team has been locked in—reviewing 15 to 20 proposals every single week.

Week 1: Nothing was a good fit.
Week 2: A little better, but still not quite there.
Weeks 3 & 4: Things started to shift, and strong opportunities began to emerge.
March: Off to a great start.

But here’s the thing: success isn’t about instant wins. It’s about showing up, refining our approach, and staying committed to the process.

We set out with a clear intention—to find and pursue the right opportunities strategically. And that’s exactly what we’re doing. Every “almost” and “not yet” gets us one step closer to the deals that are meant for us.

There’s no shortcut. No easy button. Just persistence, alignment, and the willingness to keep showing up.

I had the opportunity to attend the Community Meeting & Q&A hosted by Councilwoman Andrea Boone Boone alongside Senators Jason Esteves, Sonya Halpern, and RaShaun Kemp. It was a valuable discussion with residents about critical issues like taxes, infrastructure, and maternal health—topics that directly impact our neighborhoods and economic growth.

Hearing directly from my neighbors reinforced the importance of staying engaged in local policy. These decisions shape not only our daily lives but also opportunities for business development, investment, and access to resources. As TKC continues expanding in commercial real estate and government contracting, being in these conversations ensures that businesses—especially small and minority-owned—have a voice in shaping the future.

Grateful for the leadership of Councilwoman Boone and our state senators for facilitating these important discussions. When we show up, we help drive meaningful change!
