LEASED! This two bedroom, one bathroom, 728 square foot condo, located in the Edgewood area of Atlanta, GA has new tenants!

Managing Broker Raquel Obumba () represented the owner in this lease agreement.

The owner purchased this property just over 10 years ago as a single young woman. Within those 10 years she has gotten married and had a child. The condo became tight pretty quickly. In realizing her and her family wanted to purchase a bigger property, the owner decided to list the condo for sale. In the midst of having the unit listed for sale, the owner was approved for a rental permit, as there are rental restrictions in the community, after being on the list approximately six years.

While the initial goal was to sell the property, the fact the unit is now rented allows the owner and her family the ability to continue down the path towards their goal of purchasing a new property because now the current mortgage will not count against her debt-to-income ratio.

Although this did not end in a sale as they had hoped for, we still count this as a win because now they will be able to boast of having two properties.
