Usually selling your home also means you’re juggling finding a new one. If that’s you… This is what I’ve been doing with my clients (and it guarantees you will be less stressed if you follow this plan)
1️⃣ Prep your house - clean, declutter, and make repairs. Get everything ready. Pictures, video, paperwork!
2️⃣ Keep your eye on the neighborhoods you like. Look on Zillow (yes I said it). Drive around. Visit open houses. See what’s realistic for your price point. Talk to a lender to get your financing lined up.
3️⃣ List your home for sale. If you need the cash to buy the next house, I know it feels scary to list your house without knowing where you are going next. But homes are taking a little longer to sell around Buford, GA right now and until your home is sold, you can’t go anywhere anyways!
4️⃣ When we find the right buyer, we’ll ask for extra time to close (up to 60 days). This gives you a cushion.
5️⃣ Hit the ground running and let’s find the move up home of your dreams! You won’t be surprised by the prices or conditions because you’re smart and savvy. You’ve been watching and you already know how much you have to spend.
6️⃣ We’ll line up the closings for a smooth transition. I’ll even work to negotiate a leaseback so you have some overlap time for moving!
The takeaway?👇
Work with a good real estate agent who will finesse this process to ensure it’s smooth for all parties. This is my favorite kind of scenario because I’ve done it myself a time or 2!
