While my passion for real estate has been longstanding, I've found equal joy in the realm of technology. Over the years, I've become the go-to person for friends, family, and clients seeking not only real estate expertise but also assistance with IT services.
Whether it was tackling computer issues, eliminating viruses, trojans, and keyloggers, or constructing websites, people consistently reached out to me. I owe a special thanks to my biological brother Anthony who possesses over 30 years of experience in Information Technology, for guiding me on this journey. Whenever I had an IT-related question, Anthony was—and still is—my reliable source of knowledge.
I'm thrilled to announce my decision to pursue a degree in Information Technology. Thanks to my existing hands-on knowledge and experience, I'm on a fast track to graduate in September 2024.
The prospect of integrating cutting-edge technology into my real estate business excites me, as it will help my team to be even more proficient with the services we offer, as well as enable us to enlighten clients about the latest methods and tools to enhance the security of their homes, bearing in mind that nothing is foolproof.
The current landscape is fraught with concerns about unethical hackers. It's not just recent and anticipated data breaches, like the October 2023 incident with Xfinity that impacted over 35 million individuals, that should worry us. Now, hackers are infiltrating residential Wi-Fi networks, disabling alarm systems, and unlawfully entering homes.
As real estate professionals, we am not interested in just selling homes to clients, we desire to help our clients be aware of tools to help secure their homes and belongings. Many of us, including myself have been much too lax when it comes to security and we need to tighten up...IMMEDIATELY and on all fronts.
