My mental health took a downturn in 2016, affecting my well-being, those around me, and my work. But now, I’m in charge of my emotions and choosing optimism. I have a business to run—without the stability of a corporate paycheck, paid vacations, or government support. I’ve done my civic duty, and thankfully, I have many clients to serve through the end of this year and into 2025. I refuse to follow the current crowd.
