Wondering, “How’s the market?”

The honest answer is: it depends.

Real estate is local. What’s happening in Atlanta may be very different from what’s happening in Sandy Springs. Even within the same neighborhood, one street can perform differently than another based on the homes, condition, updates, and buyer demand.

Make it right by showing up.

If you think a move may be in your future — even 1–5 years from now — showing up doesn’t mean putting your house on the market.

It means starting.

Start going through the things you’ve accumulated over the years.

Start taking care of the repairs you’ve been putting off.

Start asking which updates are actually worth the money — before you spend it.

Start thinking about where you might want to go next.

Start gathering the information you’ll eventually need to make good decisions.

And start the conversation with a Realtor before you need one.

A move after many years in a home doesn’t have to happen all at once. In fact, some of the best preparation happens long before the “For Sale” sign goes in the yard.

You don’t have to be ready to move.

You just have to start showing up for what comes next.

I’m feeling a little reflective today.

It’s my birthday, and this month also marks my 22nd year in real estate. That feels like a pretty good reason to look back on what this career has taught me.

Some lessons came easily. Others were learned the hard way. But after all these years, there are a few things I wholeheartedly believe about this business, the people in it, and the way I want to serve my clients.

I’m still learning. Still growing. Still grateful. And still very happy to be doing work I love.
