Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, things have changed in the real estate world. At one point, you could have had a 580 credit score and secured a Mortgage Loan, not so now. So I want to give you some updates that I know about just by working transactions during this unprecedented time. If you filed for bankruptcy in the past, it will creep up at such a time as this, so how do you get around it? First, you need a stronger credit score of at least 640 and money either in savings, checking or a 401K that you can get to in case of an emergency. So if you don't have the savings, this is a good time to start putting a little away when you can. Call me if you need to get on the right track.

Do you want to buy a house, but with COVID-19, it seems like your dreams seem further off than when you started preparing to get your credit straight and saving money for a downpayment? It all went away in a blink of an eye, with a loss of a job or a cut in pay? wouldn't you know, when all of this happened, your credit would plummet and you thought to yourself, it is going to be another five years before you can even think about it again, don't think like that, things can and will get back in order sooner than later. Do you remember the 2008 housing market and people thought that they would never be able to buy a house again because they had to file bankruptcy, foreclose or even had a car repossessed, well there were things put in place by our president that got us back into a right direction, and my hope is that with a thoughtful, experienced next elected official, we will get things back on track so don't lose heart. If you are looking to buy a house in Atlanta or Augusta area, remember to call me. Some changes are taking place in the financial industry during COVID-19. A 580 credit score no longer exists, you really need a minimum score of 640, now this may seem like a negative, but I want to assure you that it is not. To get downpayment assistance, you need a 640 or better so if you don't have this score, now is a great time to start working towards it, inbox me or call me so that I can help you can increase your score up.
