Shame/SHām/

“Shame is a painful, self-conscious emotion stemming from the belief that you are inherently flawed, unworthy or inadequate. Unlike guilt, which focuses on a specific action, shame focuses on your entire self. It often results in feelings of exposure, powerlessness and worthlessness.”

The first thing I always say to my clients and potential clients is, “This is a judgement-free space.” I do not judge. I understand how life can get away from you. Shame is a crushing emotion. The definition above nails it. It affects your entire self. If I can do one thing for my clients, it’s remove any shame. It freezes you in place, sucks your time, and steals your worth. And the bottom line is this: The messier and more unorganized a space is, the happier and more excited I get! Organizing is my happy place, and I am not ashamed to say it!
