🗣️🗣️🗣️Believe it or not buying a home doesn’t have to be stressful especially if you go into it with the right mindset. Preparation is KEY to getting your 🔑
📌 Have all your documents ready before applying. At a minimum, if you are a W2 employee, you need a copy of your ID, the last 30 days of pay stubs, the last 2 months of your bank statements, and your last 2 years of W2s.
🗣️🗣️🗣️If you don’t at least have these things gathered, please hold off on applying for a home.
📌In some cases, your tax returns may be needed.
📌If you receive child support, you need a copy of your child support order or divorce decree AND at least 12 months of payment history showing the payments have been made.
📌If you receive retirement, disability, or social security, you need the award letter showing the amount you receive.
📌If you have a 401K (whether you plan to use the money or not) you need the most recent statement available to show how much you have available. A 401K is looked at as a savings account so it could help your approval odds because it looks like you have additional funds available and may be used as reserves.
📌If you are a veteran, you need your certificate of eligibility.
