Chick-fil-A opens first-of-its-kind elevated drive-thru in Stockbridge, GA

The drive-thru only restaurant features four drive-thru lanes and an elevated kitchen with a unique conveyor belt meal transport system.

This new concept has capacity for two to three times as many customers as a traditional Chick-fil-A drive-thru, with expedited service.

From a real estate perspective, I think it's a fantastic concept, as they may be able to utilize smaller parcels.

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a millage rate, which will require an increase in property taxes by 9.01 percent.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings - the first will take place on Tuesday, July 9th at 9 am. I highly encourage property owners to attend. Properties are already assessed higher (and a higher tax due) at the current millage rate, due to increased home valuations, but an additional 9% increase in millage rate will likely result your property taxes to increase 15-20%, or more.
