Georgia Power received approval to increase our rates a whopping 12% in June. Now is the time to look at ways to save that money. It could be as simple as unplugging the energy vampires at night. This small act could save you $20 a month. The very same people who are taking your money offer many rebates and incentives for improvements. And having high efficiency HVAC, energy efficient appliances, LED lighting are the top things buyers want according to a recent survey done by the National Association of Realtors. Dekalb County is preparing to distribute a $21 million dollar federal grant purposed for rent relief as a consequence of the pandemic. Applicants must meet the median income guidelines as set forth below. The program will provide financial help with rent, utilities and other housing costs for eligible families. An owner or landlord renting to an eligible household may apply on behalf of the tenant. Online applications open Friday, Feb. 12 at 9 a.m. Please share this information to anyone who may qualify and needs this assistance.

Once again...another record breaking month in Georgia real estate. Sales dollar volume up by 44% over this time last year and now September, not June, July or August (all record breaking months themselves) is the biggest month in the 60 year history of the MLS (multiple listing service). Can an election get in the way of the market? I have no crystal ball here, but if a pandemic can't do it, I'd say two grumpy old men won't swing it either. That's my real estate forecast. 🥂✌ Already calling it for October! 💯👊💥

Neuron Supernatural loves to get out and about in the city. He likes Piedmont Park for all the human activity. Lots of tasty things in people's hands and on the ground. When it comes to dog parks, Brookhaven dog park rules. It's the largest off leash park inside the perimeter. Pawsitive, you'll like it but don't bring a picnic lunch inside the gates or I'll have to pretend I don't know him... or any of the other pups. Yes, people do this. It's a form of self sacrifice. Lol!
