Our final stop before heading home, and what a fun way to end this Mediterranean adventure.

We stayed at such a cool art-focused hotel where the moment you walked in, you were surrounded by incredible paintings and design details. Our room even had a Romeo & Juliet style balcony overlooking the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with its stunning glass dome ceilings, marble floors, and every luxury store you could imagine. The Duomo was right outside our door, and seeing its beauty in person was absolutely magnificent.

We also walked over to Brera to get away from the main tourist areas and experience more of the local side of Milan. Every street seemed filled with coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, and little corners that made you want to keep wandering.

Of course I had to try the famous Milanese risotto, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Since this was our last stop, I may or may not have purchased an extra suitcase to bring home all my Italian finds… and poor Eric had to roll it through the streets back to the hotel 😂

Probably a good thing we were only here a short time, but we already can’t wait to come back one day, even if just for a quick stop again.

Buonasera Lake Como 🇮🇹🚤

Lake Como truly felt like stepping into another world.

Whether we were sitting along the waterfront in Bellagio watching the ferries come and go, looking out at the snow capped Alps in the distance during the middle of May, or feeling the cool breeze coming off the lake that somehow kept every day perfectly comfortable… everything about this place felt peaceful and magical.

One of my favorite things was simply slowing down enough to observe it all. The birds swimming with their babies near the shore, the colorful villages tucked into the mountainsides, and the endless views of blue water, green mountains, and terracotta buildings around every corner.

And wow… the steps here 😂 Definitely the most challenging walking of the entire trip. There were steep stairways and narrow alleyways everywhere, but every climb was rewarded with another unbelievable view overlooking the lake.

We also took a ferry to Varenna where we wandered through the beautiful streets and visited Villa Monastero and its incredible botanical gardens along the water. We stumbled upon the most amazing hidden little restaurant away from the tourist crowds for lunch and later realized people were trying to make reservations a month in advance. We felt very lucky to experience it.

Bellagio absolutely lived up to everything people say about it laid back, beautiful, exclusive, and unforgettable. We stayed just steps from the heart of the village and loved every minute of it.

Lake Como, you were magic. 🤍

Buongiorno Sorrento 🇮🇹🍋

What an unforgettable stop on our Mediterranean journey.

We stayed down in the Marina Grande fishing village, and there was something so peaceful about opening the doors and windows each morning to hear the waves rolling in. The daily climb up the stairs to town center definitely helped balance out all the incredible food we ate along the way. 🤍

One of the highlights was dining at Lorelei, a Michelin restaurant filled with so many thoughtful surprises throughout the experience. We also spent time shopping, explored Positano, Ravello, and the Amalfi Coast with a private driver, and took a boat to Capri where we saw the beautiful grottoes, had lunch, and spent the afternoon walking around the island.

The beauty, the energy, the food, and the kindness of the people made us completely fall in love with Sorrento.

We’re already planning our next trip back.

Yassou Athens 🇬🇷

Only one night here, but Athens left a lasting impression.

We stayed in such a fun area where the moment we walked outside our hotel, there was energy everywhere — outdoor dining, music, people out walking, and that nonstop hustle and bustle that almost reminded us of New York City.

One of the highlights was visiting the Acropolis and taking a walking tour through so much incredible history and beauty. Truly surreal to experience in person.

Athens, we’ll definitely be back.

Kaliméra Santorini 🇬🇷☀️

What a beautiful start to our Mediterranean journey.

We stayed in Fira and loved exploring the shops, restaurants, and endless caldera views. All the walking along the cliffs definitely balanced out the incredible food we ate every day. 🤍

We also visited Red Beach and Black Beach, each with such a different vibe and beauty of their own.

Santorini, you were magic.
