UPDATE:. We are all safe - trying to make sense with the destruction we've been left with. We faired well in comparison to some who have lost so much &/or everything. Public schools and the college closed at least for the upcoming week. There's uncertainty when we'll regain electricity - this is day 4 without.

*On that note : since the weather has stablized - linemen and city workers are doing their best to help get things in order. A major shout out to a city employee who was working to clear trees on our road, Barbour, so traffic could pass safely, in speaking with him he shared his house was flood and destroyed - he lost everything - literally but he wasn't complaining his comment was he was so thankful to have a good job - working for the town. He had to borrow clothes from a co-worker.
Emergency personnel with the town and county have been working around the clock before, during and after the storm to ensure everyone's safety.
Thank you to crews that have come from other areas and states to help us.

Our little town has been shaken hard, with time, lots of work and prayers we will come back strong.

Everyone's thoughts and prayers are appreciated and needed.

Not ever sure if it really works or not but I’m going to give it a try, so here goes......
Crazy how this worked! After reposting this to all my friends, my newsfeed showed a WHOLE new batch of posts from my friends. I Never realized how many posts were not showing before.
It Worked!!!
I ignored this post earlier, because I thought I was seeing all the posts my friends were posting. Then I checked the timelines of several friends that I hadn’t heard from for awhile, and I discovered that I have been missing all of their posts.😢
Here’s how to avoid hearing from the same 26 FB friends and nobody else. This post explains why we don't see all posts from our friends. Funny, thought if I followed you on Facebook I would see what you post. Not anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️
Your Newsfeed recently shows only posts from the same few people, about 25, repeatedly the same, because Facebook has a new algorithm. 🙅🏻‍♀️
Their system chooses the people who will read your post. However, I would like to choose for myself, Therefore, I ask you all a favor - If you are reading this message leave me a quick comment, a "hello", a sticker, whatever you want, so you will appear in my news feed‼️
Otherwise Facebook chooses who to show me and I don't need facebook to choose my friends! 🤬
Do not hesitate to copy and paste on your wall so you can have more interaction with all your contacts and bypass the system. That's why we don't see all posts from our friends.😮
Thanks for the heads up those who already copied and pasted the above. Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go to your page, start a new post on your page, then put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste.

No wonder I am not seeing my friends post! I think this is a bit silly... but I am getting frustrated with seeing the same things, so I guess we will see if it really works.
