In 2021, first-time home buyers made up 31% of all home buyers! Check out the stat breakdown below! ⤵️

82% of first-time buyers were between the ages of 22 and 30.
48% were between the ages of 31 and 40.
22% were between the ages of 40 and 54.

The reasoning for purchasing a home for the first time differed among all generations.

For all three groups under the age of 66, the main reason was the desire to own a home of their own. Ages 66 and older said they desired to be closer to friends and family.
