Are you heading out of town this holiday season? Our Department offers house checks to help make sure 🎶 all is calm, all is bright 🎶 while you're away.

If you're going to be away from your home for an extended amount of time, fill out the form at auburnalabama.org/police/house-check or call 334-501-3150 to sign up for the service. Make sure to include info like if you'll be leaving vehicles parked at the residents, if lights will be left on or if you expect any authorized visitors. As always, don't forget to lock your doors and secure all windows before you leave.

Stay informed about changes to ACS!

UPCOMING COMMUNITY MEETINGS: Auburn City Schools will host two community meetings on the topic of rezoning for the 2022-2023 school year at the elementary level. The first opportunity for the public to attend will be on Monday, Nov. 15, at Creekside Elementary School and the second will be on Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Auburn High School cafeteria. Both meetings will begin at 6pm.

Woodland Pines Elementary School is currently under construction and will be complete in time to start the 2022-2023 school year, making it the 10th elementary campus in Auburn City Schools. This new facility will serve grades K-2 and feed into Yarbrough Elementary School, which will serve grades 3-5. As part of opening a new school, a systemwide elementary rezoning process will take place.

It also provides a school locator function, allowing for the input of an address to obtain the proposed elementary school zone. Please take time to review the preliminary proposed elementary boundary changes and provide feedback.
